How to Sequentially Become a
MASTER MLM PROSPCTOR

Before I even start writing
this article I need to say that it is NOT
Fluff or filler. I want to do my very best
to communicate a strategy that I feel is
extremely important.
Let me start by saying I wish
that there were an easier, more comfortable
way to become a Master MLM Prospector, but
there isn’t.
Yes, you can MASTER 1 Specific prospecting
idea, method or technique and if you are
lucky, you can build a business or at least
a following around a
particular method. The internet is full of
network marketers many of whom I respect
spouting off how they have found “The Way”
to build their business.

You have to understand that
many people SINCERELY BELIEVE what they are
teaching, they really think they have found
“the way”.
Ok I have just watched the
above mentioned video trainings. I want to
recommend that you watch them prior to
reading the rest of this article. They will
help me communicate this important concept
to you.

Let’s continue...
Let me explain to you a quick
analogy.
If I owned a McDonalds franchise and you
came to me and said, "Dale, I want you to
teach me the McDonalds business so I can own
my own franchise someday", this is
what I would do...
First I would put you on the
front counter and teach you EXACTLY, WORD
for WORD how to take orders. When you say
“Would you like fries with that” and when to
say “Would you like to Super Size your
order”
You would stay on the front counter until
you had Mastered it and were able to
teach somebody else how to.
Next I would put you on the
drive thru window until you again
Mastered it well enough to teach
somebody else.
Then we would move on to the
sandwiches, you would learn them all. You
would become a Master sandwich maker
and learn well enough to teach.
From there, we would move to
the French fryer
(which
is always on the left at McDonalds)
Eventually I would teach you
the process for keeping the restaurant
clean, doing the accounting, etc.
Eventually I would be able to
hand you the keys and not only could you
operate a successful McDonalds, you could
also TEACH others how to as well.
You will become a Master
Prospector in Network Marketing and more
importantly, develop other Master
Prospectors and Recruiters on your team by
taking this
systematic sequential approach.
The network marketing world
is full of people that have Mastered How to
cook the French fries, but don’t have a clue
how to work the drive thru, even if their
life depended upon it.
By the way, why is the
French fry machine at ALL McDonalds, always
on the left?
Do you understand how profound that is?
It is part of the McDonalds systematic
approach.
Only systems are duplicatable. Once you
learn the McDonalds system you can work in
any restaurant anywhere in the world,
because it is duplicatable.
Most network marketers don’t
get this, they are never able to switch to a
leadership role. When we first start in the
industry we have to focus so much on our
self, our skill sets, and our time
management, our leadership, etc.
But eventually all great
marketers figure out, they are not the
issue, a duplicatable system is.
So the question you have to
ask yourself, is what kind of business do
you want to develop? Make no mistake about
it, you can become the best “drive thru
window” attendant that McDonalds has ever
had, and you can then teach others to be
great as well.
If you are happy with that,
then the rest of this article won’t mean a
thing and is really not applicable to you.
Just continue to buy & call leads or load
them into an email system, do your funded
proposals, run your newspaper ads or
whatever other SINGLE METHOD you have
decided to specialize in.
My thought has always been
that after I get to a point of delegation
with my leaders, I want to be able to hand
them the keys and know that they know how to
run the franchise and make it profitable,
not just the drive thru.
Am I making sense?
Granted in this article we
are focusing on prospecting and recruiting,
but I feel this way regarding every aspect
of the business.
What do you do when someone hits their first
slump?
What is the specific system?

Again,
Systems are duplicatable,
personality is not!
Before I get 35 emails let me
say, "I know that duplicatable is not a real
word, it is just a term that is used
throughout the MLM industry!"
On second thought if poor spelling and bad
grammar are an issue with you, you probably
wouldn’t be reading my newsletter to begin
with. I do the best I can and I hope you can
see past "my words" and to the concepts!
I will share with you exactly
how I have taught coaching clients and
downline members to MASTER recruiting. I
would have given anything if someone had
shared with me this outline when I first
started. The key word here is MASTER. I
want to be able to hand them the keys and
know that they can duplicate every aspect of
the process.
I really am sick and tired of
self-proclaimed MLM gurus spouting off all
over the Internet how they have found
THE WAY to build a downline.
The reality is, recruiting IS
numbers, it is about finding the RIGHT
person at the RIGHT TIME in their life and
projecting to them that if they follow you,
you can and will take them where they want
to go, if they are willing to do their part!
If the right attitude, if you
follow me I will take you where you want to
go, if you are willing to do you part,
must be felt by prospects!
Recruiting has NOTHING TO DO WITH “Talking
People into or Closing Them” to "Join You”.
If you think that it what it is about, you
are totally missing the boat and you
desperately need to rethink your strategy.
A one time get them in sales
strategy may work if you are selling time
shares, cars, insurance, or high ticket
items, but it is no way to build a network
marketing team!
If the timing is not right
for your prospect all you end up doing is
wasting each others time!
Just like in McDonalds, I
would take you from the Counter, to the
Drive Thru, to Making the Sandwiches, etc.
etc.
That is the same approach I
would take each distributor through, until
they quit doing their part at which time I
would have ‘Definate Closure” with them. If
you don’t understand the concept of
“Definate Closure”
read this.
STEP ONE

If you work with them, you
should be able to get through the practice
sessions within 30-45 days.
STEP TWO
Next you have to teach people
how to recruit in their
local market and make sure they have
drop cards printed.
While they are learning local market
recruiting efforts, I would recommend that
you support them by
running ads locally in papers, rags, and
college papers in their area, and YES these
people go in their downline, but YOU ARE
RESPONSIBLE FOR TRAINING THEM!
One of the biggest mistake we make with new
people is trying to delegate to soon. I
would also do direct mail postcards into
their local market as described in our

If I hear another client say,
"I am not going to sponsoring anyone with
them, or for them because they won’t work
with them”, I think I will just throw
up!
THEY AREN’T SUPPOSE TO
WORK WITH THEM- YOU ARE!
IT’S YOUR TEAM AND YOU BETTER KNOW HOW TO
RUN THE MCDONALDS!
You can’t expect someone who has just
mastered or in the process of mastering how
to take orders at the counter, to teach
someone how to run the entire franchise!
IT TAKES about 18 months to
get someone to the point of delegation! If
you rush this process all you will ever have
is a break down in leadership and ultimately
duplication!
That is 18 months if you are
following unified duplicatable training
systems.
If you aren’t delegation will never work
long term and you ultimately end up with a
bunch of “leaders” doing their own thing and
confusing the masses in the process!
This is why over time ALL
Online Recruiting Systems break down, if
this is all people are taught to do. That
is all I can say about this right now, I
could write a book just about this topic.
I can name over a dozen company that used
online recruiting systems ONLY to explode,
and today are out of business or a shell of
what they once were.
Granted, everyone wants to
hear that they can sit home and build it
100% online, quite frankly that is bull,
over time ALL of these systems break down,
it is a house of cards! Don’t take my word
for it, just investigate it for yourself the
numbers don’t lie.
STEP THREE
After they have mastered
local prospecting techniques that are free
and low cost to implement, then teach them
how to take over the local newspaper and
postcard campaigns that your originally
started for them.
STEP FOUR
At the point they have a
local organization growing and duplicating
it is time to go online. THE ONLY EXCEPTION
TO THIS SEQUENTIAL ORDER is if your company
is primarily online. Then you may want to
consider switching adding Step 4 and 5
before step 2. If you truly want to become a
MASTER prospector and develop MASTER
PROSPECTORS you simply cannot leave out a
step, like it or not.

STEP FIVE
Learn everything you possibly can about
creating leads and prospecting online,
making certain you are sending traffic to
the
right kind of sites.

The internet is constantly
evolving. With the evolution of web 2.0,
recruiting methods are constantly evolving
and smart marketers are figuring out “how to
go where the traffic already is” utilizing
sites like Ebay, Craigs List, Youtube, My
Space and Face Book. You want to master
every online technique you can and keep up
with new methods such as the use of
Twitter.com as I talked about in this video.

I can promise the readers of
this ezine that I will do my best to

to get that information to you.
STEP SIX
At this point you should be
making thousands of dollars monthly and you
have the experience and the income to buy
and work leads. Unfortunately, many people
direct new people to do this step first.
The fastest way to burn out a new team
member is to have them spend a few hundred
dollars a month on leads and pound the
phones. It is like putting them in the
back to make the sandwiches with a script
and no supervision!
Personally, I believe you
should never take the time to call leads you
have purchased, your return on your
investment of time, makes no sense. I
believe you should VOICE Blast leads, have
them call you and find the low lying fruit.
In reality if you master local and online
lead generating methods, the only reason you
would ever need to get to step 5 is because
you want to truly become a Master
Prospector.
If you have never bought
leads and pounded the phones calling them,
consider yourself lucky. There is no more
frustrating experience in MLM as far as I am
concerned.
Take my advise, use a voice broadcast system
and pick the low lying fruit! |
