I hope you have had a good week.
March madness is officially here. I am in Kentucky at what they call "The Greatest Show on Earth" the Boys High School Sweet 16 Tournament. If you have seen the movie Hooisers, that is what it is like.
There are no divisions, so you may have a small mountain school with an enrollment of 200-300 kids playing against a huge Louisville or Lexington school. My dad, brother and I go every year, and watch every game and we love it.
Sports is the perfect reality show!
I guess it is human nature to pull for the under dog. Over the years we have watched several kids who play in the state tournament go on to have great college careers and a few are playing in the NBA today.
Honestly March is one of those months that I usually am totally out of the business loop and focus on basketball. However this year there is a chance that the defending National Champions, the University of Kentucky may not make the tournament this year. Hard to believe, but life and sports is full of ups and downs.

This week I am sharing some thoughts with you guys about Blogging. I know it is the big buzz right now. Quite frankly I believe all of this buzz is just another example of the wool being pulled over good people's eyes.

I have spent 3 months blogging at least 30 minutes every other day and I haven't received one prospect for my business or made one red cent, where should I go from here?

There are much better ways to create income
and leads for your business.
There is more buzz in the market about blogging than I can believe. Many marketers have been convinced that if they don't have a blog, they really aren't in business. I understand that the Empower Network charlatans have everyone worked up into a frenzy about getting rich with a blog.
Those of us that look behind the scenes understand what is really going on with this deal .… it's a money game attached to a blogging platform whose main purpose is to have the nieve masses promote their affiliate program. I am getting a ton of questions about blogging and I have never suggested that blogging is a good use of time or great way to produce leads for your business!!
They say they pay 100% comissions, but anyone who owns a calculator knows that is not true. The truth is, blogging is a total waste of time for 95% of marketers. When you see someone spouting the value of blogging simply ask yourself, are they saying this because they really believe it is a valuable use of time, or are they really just trying to pitch you on the Empower Network? With that said at last count I personally have about 20 blogs in a dozen niches. The only one I consistently, personally post on is at www.MLMHelp.com . The rest of the blogs I work with outsourcers, or use blog curation software. Most of these blogs I will build up, then sell, because I like the Flipping Website Business Model.
Before I get more hate mail than I care to read, let me say… I understand many of the readers of this ezine are involved with Empower Network. I am not calling all Empower Network distributors charlatans, just the guys at the top. There are many people that got involved simply because they didn't know any better. Fundamentally, I have no problem with the program, just the way it is promoted. In my advance training I talk about the fact that I believe there is a time and place in every marketers career for money games and or HYIP. I have a problem when people try to promote businesses models of any kind as something other than what they really are.
The truth, according to the latest numbers I have seen from Blogger.net, 81% of blogs don't even earn $100.00 a year!
60% are men, 40% women
Which Platform do they use?

* Tumbler, TypePad & Posterous 16%

Do people make money with Blogs?
81% make less than $100 a year.
With all that said if you enjoy writing, and you are good at it, then blogging may be a smart business move for you. Personally, writing is the least favorite activity I do in my business. I have a problem with sentence structure, trouble spelling, and my mind is always moving faster than my ability to type. However, I started writing my MLMHelp.com NO FLUFF Newsletter in 1996 & I cannot make myself stop at this point.
If you are going to blog, I recommend that you learn from the best. Whatever business model you are trying to learn find out who is the best in the market and learn from them.

You have heard me say dozens of times, that our time is the most valuable assett any of us have! I hate to see part-timers wasting their time with business models, opportunities, or promotional activities that don't make sense for them!
If you want to learn how to blog, then learn how to do it correctly from people that are actually making money blogging, not from those who are just interested in selling you a blogging platform.

I have had several emails the last few days wanting to know where the MLMHelp.com gift certificate link is this year? At the time of this writing it is being edited and proofread. I have not yet decided how I want to introduce this information. I believe so strongly that the information needs to be read by every serious network marketer, and I am still debating on the best way to get this message in the market place.
I can promise you that I cover inside information and numbers in this book that nobody else has the guts to share. Yes, I name names, and call out the guilty. I have been working on this publication for nearly two years.
The truth is attraction marketing has been pitched now for nearly 10 years and it is more than obvious that the numbers are the numbers. It doesn't matter if someone joins your team because they saw a facebook ad, or because you handed them a DVD over the Christmas Holidays.
70% Fail, 3% Succeed.
My concern always has been and always will be about the other 27% that could fall either way based upon the support and direction they are given.
The reality is attraction marketing has in many ways STOPPED the development of new mlm leaders in the market place. It has burnt out more good people and sent them on their way with high Google adwords bills to pay than we can even imagine. LOL, I don't want to get started now, the book should be available soon.
For now I just want to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and say thank you for your support in 2012. Honestly it has been a tough year for me; mostly because of health issues (I had 4 heart stents in November). In reality I am seeing this as a blessing in disguise because it has caused me to look at my business in a different light. You will see those changes in 2013.
I have always understood if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have a business. Because of that I have never tried to sugar coat things or tell you what you wanted to hear. It has always been about developing long term customers, clients, and friends. Yes, if I had taken the sugar coat route I may make more money and offend less people, but for me it has never been about making more money.
I have always believed that your income is in direct proportion to the value you provide to the market you serve. So in my way of thinking if I am not happy with my income I can provide more value for you, or find a new market…..Pretty simple.
The rub is to provide, true, lasting, value you have to tell people the truth, and quite frankly people don't want to know the truth and the last thing they want to hear is the real problem is in the mirror. That is why I love working with my clients, and customers. In my opinion you are a cut above the norm. You are the people who understand for things to get better you have to take responsibility and grow learn and become better.
You are not the type of people that blame your upline, and your company because after all …..YOU ARE THE ONE THAT CHOOSE THEM. You do not perceive yourself as helpless victims, but as competent people who can learn, become better and ultimately fullfill your purpose. I just want you to know that I applaud and appreciate you.
I understand if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have a business, so I will continue to always tell you the truth and never what I think you want to hear.
It is because of you that over the last 25+ years I have never received a W2 from an employer and I have been able to provide for my family, tithe 10% of my income, give to charities and had the freedom to publish content that is centered around the "Wisdom of the Ages" that helps people. It is because of you that I don't have to be overly concerned about the $98,000 hospital bill I just received or the college education of five children.

To answer your question quickly, no, at least not all of it, but unfortunately most marketers are going to have to start wearing boots soon and summer is almost here!
Every network marketing distributor seems to be looking for the magic network marketing lead source that is going to supply them an ongoing stream of fresh mlm leads contacting them with credit card in hand begging you to join your opportunity. I even saw a website this week were some one was promising to teach you how to make that happen. Now that is BS!
IT DOESN’T EXIST!
Regardless of what many of the “Self Proclaimed” mlm gurus are trying to sell you, I can promise you, it doesn’t exist. I have been around this industry for 30 years, if such a mlm lead source or method was out there, don’t you think I would know about it?
My philosophy on MLM lead generation has not changed since the Internet. The internet is a great tool to help you generate more leads for your business, but is not “THE WAY”. If anyone tries to tell you that they have “THE WAY” to generate network marketing leads for your business, RUN!
I have a course that teaches the 21 different ways we drive traffic to our websites and how we create over 40,000 visitors a month to our websites. I will be the first to tell you that most network marketers need to get good at working in their local market before they even think about going through the training curve that internet marketing requires.
I was the first marketer I know of that did how to create website traffic seminars, way back in 1999. We did these events to capacity crowds all over the United States, but many people still perceive me to be a warm market/local leads guy. It’s kind of comical.
You here the phrase be the hunted and not the hunter bounced around by many “Internet is THE WAY” self proclaimed gurus today. Please think through this. Being the hunted instead of the hunter has nothing to do with the fact if a prospect was created online or offline. It is an attitude. I am going to say that again, it is an Attitude.
When your attitude changes, your results will change. I remember specifically, exactly when this happened to me, and it was before the internet even existed. It happens for everyone once they realize how to generate their own mlm leads online, offline, or both. IT IS AN ATTITUDE!
After you get the “Law of Averages from your head to your heart” and you understand that recruiting, online or off is a numbers game your posture will change. When you start to understand that you don’t need them, they need you and everyone who joins your team is going to take up your time, so you don’t want everybody….. your business will change. As I have taught for over 25 years, they need you. You have a six figure opportunity, they have a boss.
I believe that most of the “Attraction Marketers” who are trying to convince you to neglect the proven network marketing lead generation systems of the past are sincere in their belief. However, I am always reminded of a quote by the late great Jim Rohn “Never mistake sincerity with truth, because some people are sincerely wrong”
The other truth you must understand is that people teach at the point they feel like they are having success. Some people consider $500 a month a success, for others it is $500 a day. and for some of us it is $500 an hour. I can understand if someone struggles in network marketing for 3 or 4 years, then starts taking the majority of their prospecting online and now they are making $500 a month so they feel like they have found the holy grail of recruiting. I get that.
What I don’t get is how they don’t realize that if not for that 3-4 years in the trenches, developing the right skills and attitudes they would have never made it online either. If you are a person who is preaching attraction marketing, do it all online, think about this and mark my words.
The failure rate for those that attempt to create all their prospects online, and those that attempt to create all their mlm leads off line, ULTIMATELY WILL BE THE SAME! I was listening in on a MLM Lead System Pro webinar the other night and the speaker made the statement we want to turn around the 97% failure rate in network marketing to 97% success rate with our system. The really scary part about that statement is I think they actually believed it. Again, never mistake sincerity with truth.
The truth of the matter is 76% of the population of the United States die without enough money in their bank account to pay for their own funeral. I am not going to change that, you are not going to change that, and no MLM Lead Generation System is going to change that. As network marketers and as human beings we have to learn to work with human nature, and the way it is.
4 out of 5 small businesses of any kind don’t make it five years.
Most people who go to school, pay their fees & pass their state exam to become a real estate agent never sell their first home. The exact same thing can be said about licensed insurance agents that never sell their first policy.
So what does all of this have to do with becoming a Master at MLM Lead generation? Everything! You must understand that for attraction marketing to work, you must be attractive. There is nothing more unattractive than a fired up newbie who just got off a conference call talking about that which they know nothing about and calling them self a “MLM Consultant”. This has gotten way out of hand on YouTube and I would say it is at epidemic proportions.
You have a choice. You can drink the attraction marketing cool aide, go through a long tedious and every changing and revolving online marketing learning curve, or you can master each of the 6 major prospecting methods that are working right now sequentially and in 3 years be a Master at MLM lead generation.
What are the 6 Methods?
1) Warm Market
I know the reaction some of you are having right now is oh no Dale. everyone I am talking to says Warm Market doesn’t work and I don’t want to chase my friends and family. Let me just say this, just because the “guru” you are listening to blew it in their warm market and never figured our how to help anybody be successful in their own warm market, DOES NOT MEAN WARM MARKET DOESN’T WORK!
Like all recruiting methods, when done correctly each method will provide you with good workable leads as we talk about in the recorded webinar at START RIGHT MLM . This business has nothing to do with chasing or convincing and if you are coming from that
place, you need to work on your paradigms and vision of what you are doing.
Local marketing methods work as well today as they ever have and I can provide you the names of hundreds of industry heavy hitters that came into the industry because of a warm market contact or local network marketing lead generation method. Your real product in this industry is people. People have not changed much in the last 50 years and they still respond in the predictable manor they always have. I cannot tell you what 1 individual will do, but I can tell you what 95 out of a 100 will do in most situations.
The bottom line is you choose to have a hunt or be hunted ATTITUDE. You also choose if you want to become a Master MLM Lead generator or focus only 1 of the 6 methods. One final thought and then I will let you go. When you consider the fact that 42% of the American population does not have an email address, why would you want to eliminate 42% of your potential customers and distributors before you ever get started?
PS Every time I write an article like this or do a Video Training, people come out of the woodwork sending me emails because I am "talking about them". First of all, if the shoe fits, wear it! Secondly, you are not that important, I don't know who you are so don't send me hate email. I am not trying to be disrespectful, but if I HAD TO NAME 5 attraction marketing trainers I couldn't do it. I see the stuff, laugh and go on until finally I can't take it anymore and write an article or do a video or something.
It is my nature, I don't hang on to anything my mind won't use later on. I have the ability to respect people, but disagree totally with what they teach.
Yes, I know the name Mike Dillard, I bought his magnetic marketing course on Ebay, but never got through it. I am sure he is a good guy. I have seen some lady named Ann Sieg online, never met her, don't know a thing about her but my personal opinion is she tell's people what they want to hear, not what they need to hear.
I know Deagan Smith, I like his stuff, he is straight up, he says look I wanted to do it 100% online, so that is what I did, and he understands his market. The most profound reason for his success outside of his only willingness to become self-educated is that he started with a business that was a really a good fit for the internet, online education. Most businesses with physical products are not that good of a fit.
There is one other kid named Norbitz something from Canada, that quite frankly I have given him the benefit of the doubt for about as long as I can stand it. Every time he opens his mouth he is spouting something about changing the 97% and 3% numbers. He goes directly against so many proven success principals I can't even begin to count them all. Oh to be 30 and naive.
For a long time I consider him in the "sincerely wrong" catrgory, but at this point he has to be able to look at his own numbers and no that the Success rate for people that join the program he pitches is really no better than those who build 100% offline. Now that is 4, and quite frankly I couldn't name another one. So you see this is not personal in any way.
I would enjoy meeting, debating, or having coffee with any of the 4 people above, and any thinker who wants to look at this issue from the long term, big picture perspective.
There are just teachings and philosophies in the market place that are confusing a lot of good people. I get frustrated with the people that scream you have to do it 100% offline as much as I do the ones that scream it has to all be done 100% online.
I try not to get drawn in to the munusha of this industry. I have to do my best to stay focused on service to people. I understand when it is all said and done that is what is most important. I don't have time for the other.
If everyone doing MLM online would learn how to be productive offline and visa versa, we would be producing a lot more success in the industry which ultimately helps us all.

The question was … Should I tell my friends and family
about my opportunity?
Here was one of the responses:
Many people have a problem telling their family and friends in
the beginning. I think you should tell them but not until you are
already making good money. When it comes to mixing money
and family you want to be careful.
Out of curiosity, I went to the guys blog just to see
who would give such lame advice. As expected I
saw this logo.
This logo always an indicator
of somebody who has all the
answers and no downline and
has bought into a concept that
simply guarantees failure for
99% of the population.
What really blew me away was this young man’s bio on
his website, which said:
I was introduced to the MLM business about 2 years ago by a family member
So his advice is don’t talk with family in friends, but in
reality he was sponsored by a family member, say what?
When someone tells you to throw away your warm market
list, don’t attend trainings and events and to become the
hunted instead of the hunter, rest assured they have a
high dollar training program they are trying to sell you!
Ask any network marketer how they entered the industry
90% were introduced by a friend, family member or business
associated. Did you hear what I just said? I have asked this
question at dozens of seminars over the years. This is a
warm market business!
The ONLY reason to recruit in the cold market is to get into the
warm market of the people you recruit. The learning curve for
doing it all on the Internet is simply too long for 99% of the

to get your business moving in the right direction is from
referrals from people you know! It is never about who you
know it is always about who do they know!
