USE HOLIDAY TIME FOR PERSONAL EDUCATION

November 22nd, 2011

“Formal education makes you a living if you become
Self Educated you can create a Fortune”
Jim Rohn

I try to schedule time every day for “Self Education”

I normally take one topic at a time, like Facebook
Marketing, Twitter, YouTube, Amazon Kindle,
or whatever and read and study as much as I possibly
can on that 1 topic. Then put into action what I
learn, tweak and move forward. Over the years this
has become part of my rountine. At any time if you
ask what subject I am focussing on, I can tell you.

Sometimes a spend a few weeks on a subject, sometimes
months. I know that if I

“Knowledge without action leads to self-delusion”

I have heard it said that we are all 5 books away from
becoming an expert on any subject.

So my question to you is what are you going to be
learning over the holidays? Most people that have
full-time jobs, get a little more time off during the
holidays.

How are you going to use that time? Are you going
to be spending it all watching football, or will you
use some of that time on your own personal
development?

For the past year I have encouraged readers to learn all
they can on these 3 marketing trends.

Mobile Marketing
Kindle
Facebook

It doesn’t really matter to me, what you are learning, for
me it is more about getting into the habit of “self education”.

You can do anything you want in your life, and you can learn
anything you want to learn with focused effort. I only listen
to those that have actually done what I am trying to learn
to do. The internet is full of people trying to teach how to do
something they have never done.

I see way to many network marketers that learn a few skills
and then attempt to ride those skills for as long and far as
they can.

That philosophy eventually will put you in a situation where
you will wake up one morning and realize the marketing world
has past you by.

So I want to encourage you guys to use some of your Holiday
time to focus on self education and get in the habit of learning
again. 2012 can be the best year of your life, when you focus
on getting better every day.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY SHARING VIDEO’S ON FACEBOOK

November 9th, 2011

MAKE MONEY SHARING VIDEO’S ON FACEBOOK

Before I explain this concept let me answer
the question before I receive it. Yes, this
works not only on Facebook but any other social
media website.

I am a network marketer 90% of my time is
focused on two things lead generation and
leadership development.

For me, those are the two key ingredients to
developing a solid team and long term residual
income in this industry.

If you don’t master those two skill sets, nothing else
really matters. With that said, while testing multiple
lead generation ideas and methods over the past 10
years I have run across several other unique income
generating business models.

Some of those pay me a few hundred dollars a month,
others a few thousand and the key for me is once they
are set up they require no additional time on my part.

Time is the most valuable asset any of us have.

At the time of this writing Dawn, Taylor and Torrey and
I just got back from a Bahama’s cruise. Nothing feels
better than getting in 80 degree weather in November.

Except generating auto-piolet income why you are
on vacation!

Some projects I outsource, but I like those that
I can just set and forget.

I feel a lot of network marketers get caught up in
the multiple income streams hype and consequently
never develop ONE income stream much less multiple
income streams.

In general, I feel you should focus 100% of your
time, effort and energy on getting your MLM income
to the point where you are full time before you even
think about creating other income streams.

I know many of my readers are at that point, so
I thought I would share with you a unique business
model that I recently stumbled upon.

How many of you have ever shared a Video
on Facebook?

All of us right?

With this very unique system you can make
$$$ every time you share a video on Facebook.

This is not a network marketing program of
any kind, it is just a very unique affiliate
product for anyone who shares videos on
Facebook.

I have only shared six videos, and have not
focused on this at all, but have already recouped
my small initial investment in this program so this
is going to be a winner.

I have probably shared 100 videos on FB over the
past couple of years.

So the best part is I don’t have to do anything I am
not already doing, only now I have found a unique
program that let’s me monetize that activity. How
cool is that?

The guy that created this unique system can explain
it 10 times better than I can. You can view his short
but powerful explanation here:

I think it is well worth checking out.

Too simple for most to see

October 21st, 2011

Many complex challenges really have simple
solutions.

It is normally not knowing what to do that is
the problem, it is doing what we already know
to do.

I received this email today.

You have probably already received it. It apears
to be flying around the Internet right now and
creating alot of buzz on social media websites.

“Ignorance at it’s highest level is to do what
we have always done expecting different results”

That goes for congress as well as us as individuals!

START OF EMAIL

Let us all speak up!

Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers
one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling:

“I could end the deficit in 5 minutes,” he told CNBC.
“You just pass a law that says that anytime there is
a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members
of Congress are ineligible for re-election

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for
18 year-olds) took only 3 months &8 days to be ratified!
Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971…
before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7)
took 1 year or less to become the law of the land…all
because of public pressure.

Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this
email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list;
in turn ask each of those to do likewise.

In three days, most people in The United States of America
will have the message. This is one idea that really should
be passed around.

Congressional Reform Act of 2011
1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives
no pay when they are out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social
Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the
Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow
into the Social Security system, and Congress participates
with the American people. It may not be used for any other
purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just
as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.
Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and
participates in the same health care system as the
American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose
on the American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are
void effective 1/1/12. The American people did not make
this contract with Congressmen.

Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding
Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve
their term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then
it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S.)
to receive the message. Maybe it is time.

THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!!

How We can Learn from Steve Jobs

October 6th, 2011

I wrote the following article this morning after thinking long
and hard about the death of Steve Jobs.

Permission is given for anyone to republish in full
(please provide link or attribution however).

I hope sincerely that it makes you think a bit this morning.

How We can Learn from Steve Jobs
http://performinsider.com/2011/10/what-can-we-learn-from-steve-jobs/

Last night, like many of us, I learned of Steve Jobs’
death on a device that he helped invent. My IPAD 2,
given to me by the kind folks at XY7.com popped an
alert saying that he had died. I should say that it’s
actually my almost-two year olds’ IPAD because he
uses it as much as anyone. That in itself has to be a
testimony to the innovation of APPLE and its product:
that an 18-month year old boy can use an IPAD2
to play games, read books and interact with his parents
(and grand-parents!) on a web camera. The death of
Steve Jobs actually touched me, almost as much as the
death of Isaac Asimov in 1992. Perhaps that is in itself
poignant, as many of the things that Asimov predicted
in his books in the 1940’s became true because of
Steve Jobs. Whatever the reason was, I started to think
about Steve Jobs and how Network Marketers
can learn from this man.

If anything, Steve Jobs was an innovator. Someone
who likes to play with technology and create products
that everyone could enjoy.

That’s actually what got him originally fired from
Apple, the company he founded. Those in charge at the
time couldn’t control him, couldn’t get him on “the plan”
they had for the company, and he refused to change to fit
what they needed. Jobs said of this, “I didn’t see it then,
but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best
thing that could have ever happened to me. The
heaviness of being successful was replaced by the
lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about
everything.”

From there he went out to create the company NeXT in 1986
and took many of the more innovate members of Apple with him.
At NeXT he did what he wanted, and created the corporate
culture that he felt had hurt Apple. Everything from salaries to
benefits was completely different from any major corporation at
the time. The idea was that NeXT was to be a company that
allowed people to THINK, to CREATE.

In 1996, Apple bought NeXT and the company soon
became the foundation of the new Apple. The corporate
culture that he created at NeXT was transported APPLE and
all the officers and senior members of Apple were replaced
with NeXT counter-parts. The NeXT operating system became
the new Mac OS systems.

We all know the story after that, of the enormous success
that Apple had, the products created and how they have
changed the world. In 2011, as society seems to be changing,
as we find ourselves bailing out bankers while cutting health
care for children, it’s hard to often celebrate success.

We’ve all become accustomed to hearing how bad it is out
there, how there is no way to be successful, no way to
change your destiny anymore. As performance marketers
however, I think we’ve all learned that is complete
bull-hoey and that anyone can still find a level of success
that could only be dreamed of by our parents. Many of us
are the next generation’s Steve Jobs.

We are creating products, promoting strategies and owning
our own destiny. We use the newest technology, and then
change it to fit our needs and our plans.

When things don’t fit our plan, we can pick up, start again,
move on, and find a better solution.

We are the innovators of the online marketplace. We all
are Steve Jobs.

On that note, I leave you with the following:

“I’m pretty sure none of this would have happened if I
hadn’t been fired from Apple. It was awful tasting medicine,
but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you
in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith. I’m convinced that
the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did.

You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for
your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a
large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied
is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to
do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it
yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart,
you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship,
it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking
until you find it. Don’t settle.” – Steve Jobs

Don Lapre found dead of suspected suicide

October 3rd, 2011

Don Lapre Update

During the end of June this year, I shared
some thoughts about Don Lapre going
to jail. Not knowing the facts, but from the
outside looking in, it appeared that losers
were looking for someone to blame, as they
always do.

You can read my comments here if you want:
http://www.mlmhelp.com/network-marketing/don-lapre-going-to-jail.htm

Today, I just received a text from my friend,
asking me if I had heard that Don was found
dead in jail of an apparent suicide, I had not
heard.

That is heart breaking. I don’t know what he
was facing in jail. Like many of you I know what
it feels like to be accused of something you didn’t
do for reasons you never felt.

This is from www.DonLapre.com

Never Stop Dreaming….

I tried to create the best product on earth, paid
out millions, made very little trying to make it a
success, had attorneys review my entire company,
paid out millions in refunds, tried to make the
commission and products better every single
year, and in spite of all that, I have been accused
of something I did not do.

I did not have the perfect company but never
once did I allow one thing to be done that would
violate any law. Nevertheless, because the majority
of people did not make money, in spite of everyone
of them being able to make as many $1000 checks
as they wanted, I am left to fight a battle that will for
sure destroy what energy I have left inside… I hope
the pictures below motivate you to take a chance
in life and try to do the impossible…

It did not work out for me with my vitamins but I believe
that being willing to fail is part of having a chance at
success…. Never stop dreaming and for all those who
sent me testimonials of what you did because of some
of my help, I am grateful I made a small difference in
your life… DL donlapre2000@yahoo.com

It just sickens me that we have become a culture where
every failure, accident, or bad decision, always has to
be somebody’s fault.

We have to all learn to take responsibility for our
own mistakes. Live, learn and move forward and
most importantly take responsibility.

Please remember Don’s children and family in your
thoughts and prayers.
